Sampling realtime

Hi. I'm thinking about buying MPC 1000 but I need it mainly for my band's setup.
I'm asking for possibility of sampling realtime - sequencer is running and it's still playing setted samples and I record sample from external output and put it into pad without stoping music playing.

Sorry for noob's question but I've searched everywhere and I didn't find the answer.

My another question is about onboard effects - I know that I cannot change them realtime while playing samples (this change do not affect sample that is in play) but maybe JJ OS is solving this problem?

do you mean - sampling, effects or both? OS1 or OS2? How is it called there?

i think what you want to do is the equivalent to direct recording on he mpc 2500. but this is doable in the mpc 1000 with the jj os. I think this is doable in os1 but i have not used it in so long that i am really not sure. But you can for sure do it in OS2. All you have to do is enable audio thru and then enable an audio track and record your sample while the sequencer is playing. and then while the sequencer is still playing just change the track to a track with a program and go into program mode, and apply the sample to a pad. Get the JJ OS. This is just one of the millions of reasons to get it.
