once again with the CF issues

just to take a survey, what kind of CF card is everyone using, and any particular ones giving people trouble...??
id like to know so i can go grab a few of whichever brand works thebest...

currently i have a sandisk 128mb and its awful .. although i did drop it from a very high spot.. that may be the reason.. id appreciate any input. thanks!

sounds like you answered your own question, if it worked before you dropped it and now it doesn't work . I got a sandisk 256MB and have no issue but I haven't given it the drop test yet.

I have a Sandisk 128mb as well at it has bad news all over it. It freezes when i try to load Samples and people are saying Sandisk are the worse compact flash card to use on a mpc 1k.

the PNY CF card i bought 3 months ago has yet to give me any trouble. I actually have 2 of them, and both work fine. They're both 128mb btw.

any other recommendations on cards by chance?> thanks

I bought a Lexmark 128 at Target for $50. Works good.

I've got a Viking Interworks 256MB which has given me no problems so far.

I have a Memorex, a Canon, and the one that came with it, and all have worked flawlessly. I also don't make a habit of dropping my storage medium, so I can't give test results on that...

sandisk 256 for 57 bills at micro center... works fine.... havent dropped it yet though

TWO WEEKS AGO I E-MAILED AKAI AND ASKED WHAT WAS THE BEST CARD AND THEY TOLD ME IN THERE OFFICE THEY USE FUJIFILM SO SINCE THEN ALL I USE IS FUJIFILM, IF IT'S GOOD FOR THEM THEN IT'S GOOD FOR ME.

both my fuji cards suck, 128 and 256.. no problem with the sandisk 128 and 256.. haven't dropped them yet tho'
