do you have a master tempo set up. do you have any autoload settings set up. this is a broad problem so you gotta give some more details.

well check your autoload settings just to make sure nothing got set up by accident. and your master tempo might be messing with things.

do you have midi sync on? maybe it's receiving midi info from your gear...

Midi Sync?

The MP has nothing connected to it. Like now I restarted it why is the tempo @ 82.0 shouldnt be 120 as default.

well if nothing is MIDIed up sadly from what i can see, a factory reset is required, obviously this is the most extreme of measures, but this is what i would do. boot holding delete.

HA, well i dont know if this fixed it but instead of master i switched back to the normal tempo then the master and i saw another tempo popped up so i presume it was the original tempo. I dont know but I dont want it to start up with last settings used.

In Main Screen, select the Tempo Setting of your choice (either SEQ or MAS). After you selected your prefered setting - in your case [SEQ] I guess, PRESS MAIN, so this setting is stored as default. If you don't press MAIN, the tempo setting will switch back to [MAS], when you restart the MPC.
