While I'm Waiting For My 500

So, I ordered a MPC500. What can I do while it's on the way to get ready? Whay softwate do I get? What do I want to do to get samples ready? What should I tell my girlfriend? How will my parents react?

get a compact flash reader for your computer and a 2gb flash card.

extract your 20 (minimum) best kicks, 20 best snares, claps, sticks, hats, stabs, percs, loops, bass sounds etc into separate folders and copy to card. you want wont to be fiddling around trimming samples once you have the 500, you will want to be building the raw funk power.

Goodness....I read the manual, and am in the process of reading it again. It will be nice to be able to have both the manual and the actuall mpc in front of me. I have been getting ready all of my kicks, snares, and all that. I have everything labeled, but haven't chopped it yet. I don't have ReCycle just yet. Soon come though.
