UMM IS THIS THE "GRIMYNESS" I ALWAYS HEARD OF OR WHAT

yeah soooo i always heard of how MPC gives your track that certin sound.

some say grimey...but ummm

the bass seems to be way to loud.it doesnt sound so bottom heavy if i play the wav (its a sample by the way, not a drum) on my computer

is there somthing i missed maybe im supposed to config before i start laying shit down?

do you think the quality of sound may be affected if the pre amp is a cheapy? if so than that might be it...but its the same preamp i use for my turntable and never had issues of records being played sounding muddy.

you should post an audio example or something, i've never had ANY issues like that. **** around with the master EQ too

yeah it sounds to like the difference your hearing is the mpc's master eq and compresser.turn this off or mess with the settings.

If your track has too much grime, add a little of this to it...

yes lamp..config as in configure? u know how you calibrate a surround sound system.or a printer.etc etc...

yeah ill look at the master EQ.

the mpc 1k sounds like whatever you feed into it. i think lamp was saying do your configurations before feeding it so you get a desired effect. not feed something into it so it sounds grimey.

i got plenty of grimey beats, but they are grimey because i 1. chose grimey samples, 2. mixed them to sound the way i wanted.

as far as bottom end, if the sample is heavy when you load it or sample it, then it will be on play back. if its not so heavy, track it and use a vst to boost the signal, or use a vst to boost the sample, render and load into the mpc.

simple as that
