Connect MPC3000 to an internal or external SCSI Hard Disk

Hello, I was wondering if i can connect the MPC3000 to an internal or external SCSI Hard Disk.
Somehow the MPC doesn't find the disk right now. I have read that the Disk needs a FAT12 format? How can i format my disk to this? I've searched for programms but didn't find anything...Only FAT,FAT16 and FAT32

The MPC can't find the disk unless you format said disk first, with the MPC.

Have you a copy of the user manual ?

Yeah I have a copy of the user Manual. Somehow the MPC3000 doesn't find the SCSI Hard Disk right now, so i can't format it with the MPC.
I use an internal Hard Disk what if powered form my Computer and the Port goes to the MPC. It has 4GB
I know it has to be FAT12 Formated and the Partition needs to be smaller than 16MB I think.

Did anyone get a internal or external SCSI Hard Disk running?

There are two ways to format an MPC3000 disk.

1: With the MPC3000.
2: With the MPC-EDITOR.(Windows only)

Both covered in this forum many times.

Point 1 covered in the user manual.

The MPC3000 should not have it's SCSI port connected directly to a computer.

Apart from SCSI ID conflicts, electrical damage to the MPC3000 SCSI termination circuitry will ensue.

Many of us use SCSI disks with the MPC3000 every day.

By external, hooked up to the MPC3000 SCSI port.

[MPC3000]<<------SCSI CABLE------>>[HARD DISK].

By internal, mounted within the MPC3000.

I have this route [MPC3000]<<------SCSI CABLE------>>[HARD DISK] but use the power for the SCSI Hard disk from the Powersuply of the PC when it is running.

Have you formated your Hard Disk FAT16?
I have a problem cause my MPC didn't find the Hard Disk maybe it works with Partition Magic in FAT 16..
