Check ebay or your local classified ads, a old 2000 non XL is pretty cheap these days. Also peep sites like craiglist.org, online classifieds. There was another auction site for pro audio back in the days, digibid.com, I don't know if it's still around. Check the for sale forum here in the mpc forums too, alot of cats sell decent gear here.

no doubt you can sample from your computer. import the track, find
the sample, chop it, and use a filter. It won't eliminate the vox or
whatever but when you add other sounds, it masks it.

yo gnicks,get an mpc yo, i feel u on wantin your beats to sound how u want them to sound ,i use to rock the fruity loops and reason.....yeah i had a problem... it was a long road but i finally stole enough money to buy an mpc 1000 and a sound module and ive never had more control over my beats than now

It's funny when people talk about having control over their beats... Like you need to have them on a leash or something.
