Is there supposed to be a turntable ground knob on the back?

I haven't used my MP in over a year. Went back to it, hooked up the 1200, and contrary to what I remember, there was no knob. There is a hole where I remembered it being, so it might have broke off somehow, but I'm not too sure, I might be mistaken and pulled a Roger Clemens and misremembered. Maybe the ground was on my mixer, which I don't have anymore, and maybe there never was one back there. I'm pretty sure it broke off, but I just want to clarify.

Just the screen. I have no power button, as well, which could be a problem.

I think you're still good to go......with the screen missing, you can create a virtual HUD simply by using your MPC in a swimming pool with a mirror......

Yeah, you don't need all that. First thing I did was ripped out the screen, power button, knobs, sliders, all I/O ports, the casing, etc. Its pretty much just a couple of circuit boards, wires, and drum pads. Basically just set a USB stick to autoload, wire on a laptop speaker, and you are good to go

Word. It looks so fly on my legless table, which I got over here by the tree because I burned down my house. I'm about to get some people over to hit up the studio tomorrow.
