Noob Question

I just got my MPC-500 which I bought from a friend, and I loaded it with some samples . My problem is when I assign a sample to a Pad it plays it on every pad, just at different volumes. So essentially all the pads play the same sample but at different volumes. Help!

I replied in a new thread by mistake - 'you got 12 levels on'

Read ALL of it though, cuz it each mode is dealt with seperately and you need a bit from each mode just to make a simple beat.

I made do without the e-guide, I was a bit slow realising some bits but feel comfortable after working at it for a few weeks.

If you get a spare afternoon go through all the threads - a wealth of info!
