I got an mpc 2500 and been figuring out how to utilise it. I had fruity loops and made some good stuff with that for a few years but just got the 2500 3 weeks ago. I'm having some trouble trying to figure out where to get some good drum sounds from. Everything I come across just sounds unusable like some heavy metal type stuff. I just want some regular rza type boom boom bap. Is it worth buying samples off this site?

dude sample your own drums from different records. take a kick from one record. snare from another, hi hat from another. and you can also layer which gets you the best sound. be original

DIY Become a crate digger....

It's all trial and error sometimes that's what being a producer is all about, once you find a method that works for you then use it. If you want to buy samples online then just keep trying different places and audition the quality of the sounds until you find something you like.

there is no magical button for making beats nothing but practice it doesn't matter where you get the sounds from seriously...
