I just got my mpc1000 and I tried to play it but the pads doesn't make any sounds, but they do work, I mean, when I press MODE and anyone of the pads it goes to where it supposed to, so I know that everything's OK with them but when I try to record or just play, it doesn't make any sounds.
Also, when I press PLAY START on a preset song it doesn't make any sounds but when I go to LOAD and scroll to a sample and press play (F5), there is sound.

Please help me out here cuz I really want to play.

re-read the manual.

especially the parts about loading/building programs, and assigning samples
to pads in programs.

LMAO. Come on, Ron. Did you REALLY try rere-reading the manual and it STILL didn't work? Make sure you have the correct pad bank selected(A-D), make sure the program you assigned the sounds to is the one selected on the main screen, and make sure samples are assigned to the pads.

im not in the mood for giving sh*t away for free so
1. read manual
2. take mpc out of box and hook it up (many ways to do so...all of them work).
3. turn on mpc
4. jjos (tis better to start with the best instead of getting held down by the akai os)
5. read manual again as you are working with mpc. (use manual as reference).

now that youve done all of this (supposidly)

did you
a. record the sample into the mpc? you say you dont know? did you
1. press pad record and record sample in machine?
2. read the manual?

b. select program sample is on
c. assign sample to pad
d. press pad sample is assigned to
e. hear sound out from monitors.

now the following problems may occur did you
a. hook mpc up to speakers or plug headphones in jack to hear said samples
b. did you read the fkin manual that describes previously said points of interest.
c. did you read the fkin manula that describes previously said points of interest.

if so and it still doenst work, return mpc for refund and buy yourself another mindless video game.

HEEEYYYY.

Take it easy on the guy... Don't you all realize that with this dudes uncanning ability to figure shit out without reading anything, he IS going to be the NEXT BIG THING in production.

Best start being nice now, before the dude is cutting your check.

(last I checked there are 1.8 MILLION hip hop pages on Myspace, I think WAKAI should make a drum machine that ACTUALLY IS complicated to weed out the retards tight off the bat).

PS RON... Ill give you 400 for it right now... PM ME!!
