yo, I'm just curious how many tracks y'all use on a beat. Typically I'll
use about 16. Bout, 6 of them are for the chorus and extra melodies
I'll drop in the middle of a verse. Just curious doe.

it all depends on my song , but usually up to 20-or so tracks, how many sequences you use,

I only use one, I know I should use the next sequence function, but
I use the mute on/off for chorus' and breakdowns.

next sequencefunction is to hearyour next sequence in stead of useing the song mode you use that , use the copy button on the sequence, put cursor on the top and hit open window and hit copy then shut off the tracks you dont want on ,i make around twenty sequences this wayi never heard using the functon key to make more sequencesthats new to me explain that ,have you done this before, i just want to learn as much as possible.

In my hip-hop beats i use not more than 10 tracks (bass, main loop, stabs, phrases, instruments etc. in different tracks and the whole beat in one-for that "ol' skool" feeling,so it can be muted at once) but in my breakbeats more than 16.

If you're talkin' just beats then around 16 to 24, if you're talkin' about complete tracks, vocals and all, then 32 on average. I put EVERYTHING on seperate tracks though, I tend to use a lot of percussion but my beats are actually pretty simple, detailed but simple. I should mention that Pro Tools counts stereo tracks as two tracks so.......

I tend to use about five sequences, intro, hook, verse, fills, outro.

It all depends on the samples I'm using and the type of track I'm doing. It can be anything from 1 to 20
