what up yall.
ive had a soundblaster extigy for a while. always thought that the quality was good. i knew it wasnt the best card but the upgrade from my stock card was necessary. time has passed, i want to upgrade again.
ive been doing some reading and people have went as far as saying that they wouldnt even think of recording with the soundblaster audigy, which is pretty damned similar to my card. ive never noticed the lack of quality, am i losing out that much with this card? thats a pretty serious comment haha.
i know that regardless of how high the bit quality of a card is, its really the circuitry and ad/da converters that will make the difference in the end.
i figured that with a studio mixdown and mastering id be able to get a damned good quality final product but i dont want to shell out for everything else if my soundcard is the number one spot that i can fix a problem. i rather upgrade that before i track out so i can assure myself top notch quality.
now i dont have the 8 outs but i would like to upgrade in the future so i dont want to spend major cheese on a card and then have to upgrade again for the outs.
im mostly concerned about the quality.
price range is say a max around 400 bucks.
im doing some research on my own obviously but im always gonna go back to my mpc fam for the knowledge.
so what are you rockin for a soundcard and would you recommend it?
holla
