I have been having the same problem for the last couple of days. I finally called VST and they said it could be my pad sensor. So I am going to send it to them to check it out and fix what needs to be fixed. I tried resetting my sensativity settings and tried changing how I was hitting the pads but nothing work. After I exhausted my options, that is when I finally called VST and talked to someone there.

Peace,

I had this problem once too.
I thought my Mpc was going crazy at first then i realised it was the program i was using that was the source of the problem.
The program was done using Bluebox and for whatever reason, the pads' midi assignations were all messed up, which led to conflicts and weird playback behavior.

Peace
