What's the 100,000 notes limit

What's the 100,000 notes limit

Hello PMC users,

What's does the 100,000 (or JJ OS 300,000) notes limit exactly mean?
Searched on this forum but couldn't find anything. The manual is very vague.

Does it mean max 100.000 notes per sequence or song. Or 100.000 notes for all the sequences in memory together? Where can I see how many notes I've used?

Please, I'm confused. I want to use the MPC live and don't wanna load too much during my set.

exactly what it say 100,000 notes per sequence, but in all actuality i think it has something to do with polyphony :roll:

Thanx, I was afraid that the MPC1000's RAM memory couldn't handle more than 100.000 notes.

My Yamaha A3000 sampler only has a small part of memory allocated to parameters and midi. You can't load more than a few sequences in the A3000's memory.

But 100.000 notes per sequence should do. 8)

I bet q-link and midi cc data eat that memory up too.
