since i think you are going to sequence in cubase with that setup my advice would be:
xp50 (out) -> mpc (midi in 1)
mpc (out 1) -> xp50 (midi in)
this way you can sequence the xp50 on the mpc if you want
computer (out) -> mpc (midi in 2)
mpc (out 2) -> computer (in)
this half of the setup allows you to sequence the mpc via cubase or simply sync the mpc and cubase up via mtc (midi time code) and mmc (midi machine control) assuming you want to sequence drums on the mpc and the xp50 on the mpc and record mainly audio with cubase, but want it all to work together.

yeah but i can be sure i wont be online over the weekend. i only have internet at work, that way at home in the studio i can concentrate.
Yo, broshot, whatz up? Look I'm having a problem that I need your help on. When I first got my MPC, I noticed that whenever I input sounds into it and hit the keypads to create a track that my sounds sound like their either overlapping or reverbing. I could of sworn that when I use to play with my man's MPC, when hitting the keypads the sound didn't overlap like that. Any suggestions? Holla

your probably double triggering. set them to mono, and practice hitting the pads, it takes a bit of force to get them to register just once.

yeah just keep banging, your fingertips might get a little sore at first, but you will get used to the right strength to hit the pads with, and with a little practice be able to double trigger on demand too, which can be useful on a snare here and there.
