anyone have it/used it?

what is the pro tracks software like in comparison to logic, cubase, pro tools etc?

Not used it. The software is supposed to be written by Cakewalk, so it should be good.

The Lexicon has more inputs, but I have to question the software cause I never heard of it, and I never read elsewhere that the software is written by cakewalk. If anyone else can cosign that, then cool. I'd stick with the Mbox cause of digdesign's proven track record for quality product, not to mention pro tools is industry standard software, and the preamp is dope on it too!

yeah, the software is made by cakewalk, you can read it on lexicons website.

Hardware difference is that the MBox lacks a midi interface whereas the lexicon has one.

I don't have an Mbox but I know two people that have them, one of which is a professional engineer and an IAR graduate, so if it's good enough for him to keep in his home studio it must be quality. As long as your computer can run it, he uses the G4 Imac with it.
