anyone know why when i try to upload a zip file that's 100 mb over FTP it gets corrupted?

i have nearly 100 inst pgms i'd like to share but i am worried that 1, i can't upload them less i do it 1 zip at a time and 2, it will eat my bandwidth when X amount of people download them...

Use freeware, hjsplit to split/join.
Upload smaller pieces of it.

Users can use hjsplit to rejoin to original form
after downloading all the peices.

hmmm i will look into it
whether or not Average Joe could figure that out on his own is another question.

thanks though for the link, personally i've always wondered how that was done
is this like warez/downloaded movies etc where the rar is broken into a bunch of .001, .002 etc files?

why don't you just use senduit.com? no bandwith-problems for you and we can easily download them.

http://senduit.com/658707 - Piano Multisample - OS1

http://senduit.com/2ed268 - Horn Multisample - OS1

Made these programs as I guzzled beer in Maryland. 100 points to anyone who can tell me where I got the samples from...

P.S. Sorry about the OS1 format. I'm too terrible a man to spend time beta testing. Call me when it's fully baked.

You can split any file, join any previously split file that was split with this program. It's too easy.

it's fully baked

everything from now on is just icing on the cake

Nym, sites like divshare.com will hold the file practically indefinitely

But with the FTP to your server, are you using a software client or the built in FTP in your hosting's control panel?

If you're getting errors with the built-in try using a software FTP client. My server gives me trouble sometimes too when trying to upload large amounts of data at one time.

^^^ Alright! I'll be buying that joint very soon. Thanks for the heads up. Also, nothing but respect for all those who beta tested.

Heres are 2 of my drum programs I use in OS2.
They are about 5mb combined.
Drums 01 is all me from old keyboards, the Mo' Phatt module, & a few break records.
Drums 02 are fire that I copped off this or some other site.
I just turned it into an MPC program.
You guys may have these samples.
I just built the program w/ Bluebox.
Perhaps I switched out a few samples.
I just don't want to take credit for sounds I didn't sample myself.
It is def. worth getting if you don't already have the sounds.
I just wanted to show I'm willing to help w/ sounds, even though my MPC is an infant & my sound catalog is limited.
Now somebody up some damn OS2 inst. programs!!
I use the hell out of the last set w/ the Moogs & all that
Thanks!! 8)

I also have 2 nice FX programs that I personally sampled & built.
I will up them if people want 'em.
Be advised they will chew up your ram pretty quickly.

yo i got a rapidshare account, so anything i upload wont expire...i usually use it for tunes, but one could use it for anything...about a 100mb limit per file, but you can make .rar s with you file and upp the parts seperatly like homeboy said from before..
