Adding Ram - Memory slot question

The memory slot in my MPC is right up against, almost touching the removable cover. Is that right? There's no way I could snap a stick into it. I was just at Fry's looking at 128 MB, 168 pin, 133MHZ ram sticks. I'm assuiming that's correct. The ram sticks were about six inches long, and about 3/4" high. The memory slot in my MPC only has 50 pin holes, and less than three inches long, and like I said, the slot is almost touching the removable cover. Is there something wrong with the placement of the memory slot on my MPC. Nothing could possible snap into this.

you have the wrong type of ram.try ebay they have some that are inexpensive for the mpc 1000.just search mpc1000 on ebay. good luck.

I'm still wondering if my memory slot has been placed in the wrong spot inside my machine. Does that jive with everyone elses MPC?
Is the memory slot right up against the removable flap inside yours?

That place is far of base,those configs dont jive for a 1000.

So what type of RAM do we need to make this work and where does it go?

hows this...goto search, on this site, and punch in "mpc1000 memory"...see what comes up..it's been beat to death on here man, do some research...just to get this over with it's pc-133 memory...damn....

Not the PC-133RAM. ITs a complete different size. It wouldnt even fit if I tired to make it fit. Just thought I'd share as a matter of interest. Thanks for the help everyone.

Is there some place you can get the EXP 128RAM cheaper than $110.00?
