In anyones opinion or from experience, whats the best way to get your beats from the MPC to a DAW because i've been resampling and it sounds louder than USB but I feel like its still missing that kick from the MPC originally. Also what are some of the better programs out there to master with ? Will appreciate the feedback :)

well how about for starters what daw are you using?
and how are you getting your music into your daw? interface? sound card? just plugging straight into the computer??

how about a detailed info instead of two vague sentences

haha oh my bad, well right now i jus resample within the MPC, using the main out, so i just put it on my CF card, plug that into my computer, and open it up using the New Wavelab Essential

now u took the time to give a smart ass response.and he took it nicely and gave you what you wanted...now make sure you take the time to leave a nice response explaining what he needs to know.

my man..im not yet sending my stuff to the computer yet.im savin up to get an alesis mixer/interface....about 299...looks nice.goo to their website and check it out!

anyone know if the difference of usb 1 and 2 is great and noticable?

also...the mixers im lookin at say they come with cubase..do u think i can rock protools with them? or is protools an mbox or digi exclusive thing?

how are you going to come in this thread call me a smart ass (which i am) because the op didnt give enough info. PLUS you dont even have experience with computer usage AND you come and jack his thread "anyone know if the difference of usb 1 and 2 is great and noticable" also...the mixers im lookin at say they come with cubase..do u think i can rock protools with them? or is protools an mbox or digi exclusive thing?"

gtfo dude you make me laugh and why dont you do some fkin searching yourself

haha alrite lets not kill the thread but yeah i was wondering if anybody uses tht new mbox 2 and the protools software tht comes with it to do straight recording from the mpc, then master it with the protools software. That sounds like pretty good combination to get good qaulity recordings and finalized songs. Anybody here use it?

im the opposite route i use logic studio and my interface is my mixer (mackie onyx 1620 w/ firewire)

logic to me is very simplistic and a lot of results can even come from.....dare i say it......w/out reading the manual gasp!!!

but i mostly use logic as what i like to call a "visual multitrack" i like seeing my tracks it helps me in making edits and putting things together. but the meat and bones of the song is mostly made before it gets put into the computer

this is all over the place. usb 2 is faster than usb 1. the idea when tracking the mpc to the daw is to isolate the tracks and record via midi timing, match tempo, etc. to mixdown. pro tools only runs on digi and certain mboxes. yes, pro tools is good for tracking, mixing, and mastering.

I'm also looking for something like that, but I still have question about this.
If I hook my MPC up with the mixer, using all my assignable outs, will the computer receive a mixed main out? Or will the computer see this as individual tracks so I can record multitrack and edit the sequence track by track in cubase?

whats up ca?

i use fl studio to do all of my recording right now. basically i run all 4 outs of the mpc 1k to the ins of my presonus firebox. i record either each individual track or each individual pad depending on what i need to do. basically i record into fl studio dry and do all of my mixing there with plugins.

i am currently trying to sort an issue out with protools, and have no experience with it yet, so i cant give you an answer on that.

the mpc is somewhat misleading when it comes to sound. when you record, you have to take into account the volume of the mp, and the volume of the input of the audio interface and the volume of the input of the track you are recording on.

since you are resampling, have set the master level on the mpc to 0db?

logic studio is the sht hands down especially for the price

or 500 you get the full ver of logic 8 (logic 7 full was almost a thousand i think)
plus soundtrack pro 2 plus a couple of other programs
mad ton of efx and a ton of synths i mean its just worth it.
