Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

hay, i just tried to update my mpc 2kxl to 1.14, it may have already had it but since my note repeat function stopped working i was going to reinstall it to see if it helped.(same thing happened with my 500 and this worked) but when i tried to reinstall, it said it did but when i got to ver. in other it still says may/ some thing/ 2001 is there a max date or some thing? shouldn't it say march 28 2008? any help on either problem is appreciated......

No, it's the date when the OS was released. It's all good.

i updated the os a few more times and it hasn't fixed the problem? ny one know how to fix this? When i push my note repeat and hit a pad nothing happens, same thing if i hit the pad then repeat....

the tap tempo function works but note repeat dose not, so i know the button itself works

That's odd. But you know that Note Repeat only works e.g. when a sequence is running?

yes i know how to use note repeat, i used to use it and it died on me. can any one had happen? guess ill try to update the os a few more times.

If you think about just exchanging the button cap, that won't solve your problem.

that's too bad.....but on a lighter note, i've had my MPC since 2002 and have never used "note repeat" :twisted:
