OS2 Ver 1.00

do i need to reformat my flashcard or something while os1 is installed?

did you save the os on a mac? some users have had problems with the mac replacing the .os2 extension with a .txt extension cause it thinks its a text file, check the sticky at the top of the page.

edit: sorry just saw your other messages,seems like youve done this already...hmm

After some trial and error, here's what worked for me:

1.) Download os 1 v. 5.53
2.) Download os 2 through firefox (not safari) or right click and "save as".
3.) Use the USB option instead of a flash card (if you have a HD installed)
4.) Make a folder for the os's and drop them in
5.) Eject the mpc and load os 1 v.5.53
6.) Power cycle and load os 2
7.) Power cycle while holding down stop on the transport controls.

OS 2!

it turns out i had os1 version 4.48 or something. not 5.33. so now i have os2. and i need to start learning this shtt!
