I really kind of like the idea of using the pads to zoom in and ouy. Couldn't you set it up the way it was, so that you could access with the shift button or use the pads? I don't see how anyone could be against this.

ive noticed that in the loop window, where you set start and end points for your seq loop, there is a new "play start" option.
So you can set the play start button to trigger from bar1 of the sequence or the first bar of your loop range has this been there before?

I'm still on 1.01 and i'm not seeing play start in the loop window under trim. I do remember it being under a sample in the pitch window of an drum track though I never messed with it.

hi gojsse.
not loop in trim but the sequence loop on the main screen.(open window where it says "loop")
e.g.
you can set the sequence to loop between bars 5 and 9.

and you can set the play start button to trigger the sequence from bar 1, when it reaches bar 5 it'll loop around the selected region.

cool, maybe JJ sneaked it on 1.01 then, i remember someone requesting it ages ago but at the time i was thinking "yeah, whatever take it or leave it"..now its there though it seems like a simple and useful addition.

My hunch is that most people won't want to access that info on a regular basis and should be promptly hidden from sight so it doesn't offend my sensibilities. haha

COSIGN.

removing that would open up a ton of screen space which JJ could use to insert some NEW FEATURES! :D

truth be told i thought that the moment i saw all the general midi stuff in gpe...i was like whaaaat is this doing here

i would prefer a "mode" screen access to general midi note correspondence as well.
