Hello Everyone,
I have a problem getting any sound to come out of my MPC2500. I can hear the metrone clicks when I set it to play, but I can't hear ths sequence or songs when pressing play. I tried the headphones and still only hears the metronone clicks. Please assist if possible...Thanks !

welcome to the forums...

is your mpc new or did you buy a used one? if it is a used one check the mixer settings on each track, because the previous owner might have used the individual outs.
can you hear samples in the load screen?
can you hear something if you try to record a sample?
are the little bars on the left of the main screen moving when you playback a sequence?
and which os is on your machine? mode -> pad 10

peace jo

Thanks for the reply, I lso I'm utilizing the original OS. I have checked the levels on each individual track and they are all normal. When playing back a sequence I do see the little bars on the left moving, but still no output sound. Also, I can't hear the samples on the load screen as well. Thanks again....phil

Before we go through all of the possible settings here, try a factory reset: Hold ERASE while powering up the MPC. And make sure you're using 44.1kHz/16 Bit samples as specified in the manual.

If it's still the same then, something's wrong.

Thanks for all the advice...I finally got it to work by following Stilo advice. I did a factory reset and it start working afterwards. I'm a happy camper these days..Thanks again !!!
