Just got my s950

Looks in perfect condition...Few skratches from being rack mounted but that's it.

It's bigger than I expected though. I have some shelves over my decks and thought I could throw it on there but the unit is too deep. Looks like I need to take a trip to ikea next weekend...

hehe...I'm gonna have to buy some new shelves or something to put my rack units into...I've been very happy with ikea for shelves, cabinets and tables to put my gear and records on.

yo funk that you got the gulley 12 bit sound go to the thrift store and cop some shelfs that are 12bit gritty too! save some loot and buy some midi cables with the left over! maybe even a hamburger too

Ikea Expedit ? would the s950 mount into that one ? would you know by any chance

No, it wouldnt. But there's a shelf called "Corras" that's perfect for 19" gear.

A lot of gear getting traded on that site. It's in dutch though but you can check the 'markplaats / te koop te ruil' section.

I copped an s900 a while back and didnt have any desk space left. I work in telecom and we install alot of radio equipment into 8' tall 19" aluminum racks. I got one from work and basically chopped it down to 5' and mounted a aluminum rack shelf to the top cross member. I cut out 2 4"x4" holes on either side of the bottom of the shelf for cables to run up from underneath the shelf and my mixer sits on top. I opened up so much space on my desktop and the best part, ALL FOR FREE!! If I knew how to post up pics I'd show you guys, but Im a noob so you're out of luck.

I copped one myself about a month ago.
Still learning it - but so far I'm loving the "punchiness" of the sound.
