Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

What's up everybody, i've had my mpc 2000 for a few months now, and i've noticed that when i use headphones or computer speakers through the phones jack, the sound will only come through one ear. but then if i push on the main volume knob, it will come through both. sometimes it will stay like this when i let go, and sometimes it will go back to one. i usually have to mess with it for a while to make it keep coming out of both speakers. is this normal? or is there a setting i can change? really appreciate the help yall, i hope this isn't a bad thing. peace.

my advice is that you probably have a bad conection on the main vol pot. open the unit and check the solder points on the vol pot. also check the solder points on the headphone jack while its open. if you have a bad point its pretty easy to fix. just tap a iron on it to reconect the bad terminal.

I had the same problem, mine didn`t depend on the soldering points...
the potentiometer itself was worn out,I could push it a little up and down.if I`m right this might solve your problem...
