If Mingus were still alive and you walked up to him and said "let me take a 24 bar solo" -- he would smack the **** outta you. I'm just saying, wikipedia might say it, doesn't mean it's not a term used by ignorant producers who don't know their theory. But again, no one wants to hear how they don't know something.
