OS2 1.05 Does JJ ever sleep?

Yes, unfortunately. I always assign Swing to Q-Link Slider 2 and Shift to Q-Link 1 and the I try to flip the hi hats. I sat TC to 16th Notes, held Note Repeat and a Pad and changed swift and swing with the Q-Links. I didn't like the outcome, so I wanted to switch back to 8th notes and well, it just didn't jump back...

i just repeated what you described verbatim, and it worked fine for me. (heh i have to say it..."is it not the mistake of a wrong os being loaded?")

let me give you my steps. tell me what you did differently.
NOTE: i never left main screen, except to go to TC mode

1- put SWING on q2, shift on q1 (i used to do the exact same thing before me n TC parted ways, it's GREAT for use in drum GRID EDIT. this look at your workflow gives more insight to our previous conversation regarding zoom/TC)

2- turn TC to 16th notes, then hit SHIFT/NOTE REPEAT to lock TC on in pad performacne

3- record performance while sweeping a qlink

4- observe performance: tc is recorded correctly.

5- (This is where you experienced a bug:) SET TC to 1/8th notes, hit DO IT

those steps worked for me, i tried it a couple times.

yep its working for me too.

how good is open window in grid edit for realtime shift timing of recorded data, im frickin loving that.

(man id love shift on the step keys to work in this mode too)

>> So you say, you didn't experience the T.C. bug? Hmmm, that's odd. The only thing differences between your way and mine was, that I didn't record INSIDE Grid Edit but while in the MAIN screen and I changed the values of both Qlinks. Maybe I did something else, that caused the bug. The F1 Button is definately working, so I would exclude as the error source. And of course I got 1.05 installed. Just checked it after the bug appeared. I gotta check, if I can recreate that bug

Hey stan, i tried this in the main screen with various combos of shift timing and swing.

Okay, I couldn't recreate it either... but it was there... strange

Man OS 1.05 is getting on my nerves... here's another one which was already experienced by another user - I read about it in here somewhere not too long ago:

Yesterday I made a beat and saved it > saved entire memory as usual.
Just a minute ago, I loaded that beat and all samples cut each other off, although everything is set to 'POLY' in PG as well as for individual pads. No groups enabled... totally strange

EDIT: Ups, I just realized I had JJ-OS 1 loaded while playing this beat I was working on the manual again so I had to switch back.. DOE
