product ID: Example: 1A3H (Product ID displayed on the screen of the save)

I'm trying to get the OS1, and then OS2 since they make you pay twice, for I don't know what reason.. but anyways..

They need a product ID number.. and the instructions on how to find it are pretty retarded if you ask me.

where do I find this product ID number? lol product id displayed on the screen of the save.. wow that helps. clamchowder soup good make babies.. great.

you have to hit mode, then pad 3. an ID # will then be on that screen. you then have to enter that into the form on the jj website to get the password

I spoke too soon.. I hit Mode>Pad 3, and I got to the save tab.. but there is absolutely no number there.. All it says is Save To: Memory card, Type: save a sample, Item: 808 kick. There is no id number or anything like that.. I got the blue and red one.

You didn't download the right version. :) I made the exact same mistake when my new MPC arrived yesterday. The version you downloaded is FREE and so the Save function works right out of the box.

haha

I think we might need a sticky thread that just says "ANNOUNCMENT: The Nym pad fix is no longer needed"

I didn't download anything yet.. I just got my MPC out of the box. I want to buy the OS1 in order to buy the OS2, but I can't, because when I go to purchase a password it asks me for the product ID??? My question is: where do I find this product id??? It says it's on the save screen.. but it's not. Do I have to first download the free OS then I will see it, because now there is no Product ID on the save screen..

Download the non free JJOS 1 and install it.
Goto save screen.
Code is displayed as 4 characters.

Similar idea for JJOS2, except code is longer and you must be running the JJOS2 to see the JJOS2 code.

It isn't there in free version (you can save with this one anyway - no need for code)

Akai OS doesn't have it because the code is a JJ feature (it's how he/they ensure we pay them!)
