can you preview sounds before assigning them to pads?

i hate askin shit like this but can you?

just hit play while a sound is highlighted in play mode, or when it asks what pad to assign to in record mode.

im talking about when your loading drum hits from a CF card

i need to know the same cuz i'm a total newb.

Go to load, browse till you find the sample and hit "play". Ssneddon already said that, aren't you paying attention??

my bad i guess i didnt understand the wording thanks tho....

this was the one thing i did need to know, i kinda blindly orderd a 500 last night.
