i have an mpc 1000, a four track mixer and a pc computer with adobe audition on it. i just wanted to ask if anyone knew how to record from the mpc into the computer and just ask in general, opinions on how everyone gets their beats on the computer from the mpc. thanks

your going to need some kind of interface (sound card or stand alone module ie. like the mbox) im not sure if mbox works with anything other than protools cuz i dont know jack about protools i use logic.

the presonus firebox can be had for around 200 that would work great (its an "external" interface) as far as cards go that install in your computer not sure.

EXCELLENT CHOICE if you save up for logic studio its well worth the money even if you dont use all of the tools the price alone is worth it.

Definately check out the Ultralite by Motu. It's a very good Firewire Audio Interface. Good sound, good drivers, and plenty of in and outs.
