yo wen i try to use my slider in trim mode, i hold shift and move it but it doesnt move, then if i move it rapidly itll move but it goes back to the same possition (the highlited part in trim) every time no matter where i stop the slider. Also when i assigned it to pitch on a sample, it doesnt seem to have any relavency...like ill move it up, and the pitch will stay the same, sometimes it will change but it doesnt seem to be relavent to the movement of the slider. Am I just not gettin something?

assuming you've tested the slider? shift+5 then shift-f1 ? check the read out from min to max. failing that it needs a clean and or repair.

My slider stopped working in about 2002 and then i had my MPC on the floor and drunkenly tripped over it one night and broke my slider off. Havent used it since. I've read nearly every post about the slider on this forum and i don't think im missing much. I'm sure it does have some time saving functions but i'm not missing it too much.

for me it's useful especially in the beggining of the track to gradually decrease the frequency filter, it gives a nice effect (i produce drum'n'bass), but it's not necessary
