How to use q-link for swing% ?

I just noticed we can use the q-link for swing % how is this done I've never used this, thanks in advance!

anyone?

Is q-link swing working for anyone ? Is this feature not working, I apply the q-link swing ,but it does not respond to the fader.

I use an mpc 1k and JJ-OS. I assign Swing to a Q-Link, then I hold a Pad and Note Repeat (for a hihat for example) and then I move the fader. If it swings as I like, I leave the slider at the current posisition and record the hihats. Thats it.

yeah the qlink is for when your playing, it doesn't work if you to apply it AFTER youve recorded.

open window on a pad when in grid edit if you want to shift the timing of a pad after its been recorded.(only works on one pad at the time)

Ok I see what you mean by setting the swing then recording + note repeat with q-link.. I'd rather be able to apply it afterwards in some cases.. Not a big deal though as I can do it the tc way with no issues thanks for responding...

if you you want to hear realtime swing adjustments after recording. you have to use the loop edit pad pattern feature: press window in grid edit on the pad if you want to do this.(you can only add shift timing to one pad at a time though)

I tied this and haven't had any success. Can you elaborate on exactly how I make real time swing/groove adjustments after the recording has been made?

example:

take a pad with a hi hat sound.
record a rhythm by hitting the pads.
select pad in grid edit.
press window when pad is highlighted.
pad pattern window appears.
move cursor to the shift timing."sift"
highlight every other 16th note (press f3* and right cursor)
mess around with data wheel to shift the events.
