So would the MBOX 2 with Pro tools be good for just recording my MPC1000 live into pro tools and mastering from there?. It looks efficient, im just tired of that whack ass re sampling in the MPC. I need to get my beats from my MPC to a DAW as quickly as possible with the best definition ( quality wise), anybody using this setup? how is it?
Also is the MBOX 2 pro worth it that comes with fire wire?

mbox 2 is a great addition to your setup. pro tools is one of the industry standard DAW, professionally. However, there are setbacks to the MBOX2 as with any mbox. you can only track 2 tracks at a time. this can be very time consuming for some. others it good enough. but it works.

i personally use the mbox 2 and with my type of music, it probably takes me about 3-5 minutes to track an entire song. My tracks don't go past 8-9 tracks so its not a problem for me. In pro-tools you don't necessarily have to track the entire song. if it loops than just track the loop and duplicate it on pro-tools.
