can't find this.

I load a sample, and drum sounds into ONE program.

then, I lay down the sample into a sequence....

BUT...when i try to add the drums sounds (kick, snare, etc) to the sequence (using overdub), it doesn't. It'll literally block out (replace) whatever is playing...it's like I can't add any more sounds only replace them.

i know it's a simple answer....the asr has a function like this.
thanks

you need to change your program from mono to poly

it would be in your best interest to put your drums and samples on seperate programs and tracks. Its true that you can put it in poly and play it from one program, but in the same time in most cases samples are probably best being played in mono since you can play samples without them overlapping. But with drums you want them to be poly because when with drums there are multiple sounds going on that you want to overlap. hope i answered your question.

If you want you can have a poly program, but set some pads to mute other pads using mute targets and mute groups.
if you want you can have poly drum sounds and other samples on the same program, just set the other samples all to the same mute group, so they mute each other.
Its possible, just a little more complicated than setting the whole program to mono or poly, it useful to know though for when you need it.
