I doubt that is true.

I just got off the phone with them and they said that they are expecting them today. So I am only writing what I was told in the past two days. If I get one..great. If not...I will continue to wait like the other million fans of Akai products

In other words, today was the day they were told (no doubt when they placed their order) that they would be getting their first delivery of them.

They havn't bothered to check with the UK Akai dealer for an update so are just palming you off with out of date info, because they can't be assed to make a phone call.

Askia Shaheed is not based in the UK my man. Askia Shaheed is located many miles from Great Britain. Askia Shaheed lives far away, in a distant land, where things are very different.

Which you are correct....but I will not stop calling them every week until I get my MPC 5000. The latest date being at the end of May.

So are you saying/implying that the greatest sampler in the world (MPC 5000) will be manufactured in the UK instead of Asia?

I have been trying to get info on the MPC 5000 in Japan. Akai Japan states they don't know when it will be released..and they said they don't know if it will be sold in Japan. If you check on the Akai Japan website, there is no mention of the MPC 5000. I find this very odd.

I am starting to look at the Fantom G more while I am waiting for this vapor-ware to appear.

The G is for Gangsta. The Fantom G is loaded with G-funk sample presets.

but Askia Shaheed I must askia you to shaheed some light on this. Warren G who is a world famous gangsta rapper and protagonist of the g-funk sound has publically put his nuts on the line in support of the vaporware mpc3500 and has issued precisely zero press releases straight out of compton regarding his support or lack thereof for the roland gay funk phantom sweatshop rdac preset box?

That is right Akai of Japan is in name only this is a Numark designed product straight out of the UK. Whenever it is ready in the UK, then it will be ready for the rest of the world regardless if they are manufactured in China ha, ha.
