I haven't heard from them since, I tried calling them but they don't return my calls.....just last week I was checkin up on my hommiez myspace profile and he's got my beat up there with several rappers on it!!! I messaged him and he hasn't replied, I am very f%cking pissed off, what do I do?!?!

I don't think he's made money off of it, but the fact is he's using my beat without my permission!

Check it out, homie.

I had something similar happen to me a number of years ago. I was the producer for a local group and we cut an album together, square deal. Later on down the road I went to a college film festival, and saw a documentary that a student had done about being a producer...to my surprise it was one of the dudes that I was supposedly tight with. Anyway, on the film it's talking about the writing process, how the studio environment works, etc, and then it cuts to homeboy playing one of my beats. I was ****' heated, bro. But, after a while I cooled down.

Here's what you need to do.

First, don't go and "**** them ****** up". That's the most ignorant goddamn thing I've heard all day.

What you need to focus on is making sure you can prove that it is your material and that you created it. That's all you need to do, is be able to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that you created the material.

Look at it like this.

1.) You already know they didn't jack your best shit, because you haven't made your masterpiece yet, so that's no big deal.

2.) They're not making any money off it, you know how you can tell? Because they're all a bunch of broke bitches.

3.) You don't have to do ANY work to get heard, these clowns are doing all the footwork for you.

4.) If it comes down to it, take their asses to court. Wait for them to make a million off the shit and then sue for copyright infringement, and cut yourself a nice fat piece of their pie.

Got it?

It's first nature to flip out, but you ought to be flattered. If someone rips you off, it's because they can't emulate you, you're out of their league.

So kick back, relax, and keep an eye on these ****, because now they're in your debt, remember that.

I heard a J Dilla interview where he was saying that Madlib had did something similar to him , that's why they started Jaylib . I'm not going to lie , if that happened to me right now I would be flattered . Give him more beats . Make him your flunky. When the right person hears your beats things will start happening .

download their track, sample some of the vocals and edit it so they say things like `i suck goats` or `i lick my mama` get what i`m saying? chop up their lyrics and make a rap out of it but changing the words around to make them dis themselves, take some time but would be good laugh. then post it on your own myspace.

thats what i`d do, you could even introduce some animal sex sounds into the track and send a coy to their famillies.

but i am twisted

haha that would be funny, first of all though what id do is that make sure they sell a dozen copies, then id report them to the original artist that i sampled from so they get sued off them and become broke, then id jump in then sue them lol so they super-dupa broke

watch them suffer at your amusement lol

dont be a punk....

brush that shit off and make more beats.

because later when people ask you if its true they jacked your beat, you can show them the masters.

shits happened to me alot, just flip the beat way better than you did before.

or better yet, make a diss song..

there are so many things you can do.

just think of a real way to **** them over.
