Tracking out

I want to track out each sound individually into logic express. ( so i can mix )

so my question is , Is there a way to place a sound " solo " , BUT while still in song mode. So the breaks and changes are all still sync'd , or am i going to have to record each sequence seperate and then piece it together all over again in logic .

Hope this was clear.

P.s. i know im going to have to sync'd up midi ( Logic n Mp )

what i always do is make seperated tracks for each element in my beat..like this:
track 1 = kick
track 2 = snare
track 3 = hat
track 4 = more hats
track 5 = more drums
track 6 = sample 1
track 7 = sample 2
track 8 = bass
etc etc!

Then i got my midi mode on midi clock sync so that it wil sync in cubase. Next up i just solo the first track track(the kick) out in my mpc and just hit record in cubase. then it will start recording and will be synced perfectly, next up i just do the same with the rest of my tracks so i get alle my loops/sequenced on seperated tracks in cubase and then you can start your crazy mixing work! i guess it's kinda the same in logic..

To answer your question, no. There is no way to solo tracks in song mode. What you can do though, is convert your song into a sequence by pressing F4 while in song mode. Once converted you can then solo each track while MIDI synced to your host. Follow bees80's advice for tracking.

Each sound?no ..but you have 6 outputs on your mpc, if your sound card has 6 inputs or more you'll be able to record 6 things at a time to seperate DAW tracks,just go into GPE and route each pgm to a different output. repeat the process with the remaining programs that you couldn't assign to its own output first time round.

record track mutes where you want them into your sequence before you go to song mode, you might have to copy the sequence a few times to get all the drop outs your after.

after re-reading your message the last tip might be better than mine!....especially if you want to freestyle your changes.
