How long does it take to boot up an MPC-4000?

15 min for eatin and havin a shower ain't bad though! respect! with 512 you gotta speed that up by further 2-3 mins ...

I understand how ya audtoload sht for r'n'b, almost like a custom made sound module setup!!!
you wouldn't actually do much sample editing, so the long sample list wouldn't phase u

... just kiddin strongarm! eatin alone already takes me half an hour if i ain't cookin on my own - but thats prob just me! eeiihh and its summer, and 1. i like cookin and 2. i prefer that homegrown **** from the garden to that winterly cereal stuff, coffe is a must, ...! ... and showering and shaving: once a while should be allright, shouldn't it? if to regluarly that influences my beaz and ya know ... i like the dirty bits!!!

anyhow - i hardly ever have 300 mg on memory! any issues with crashin the 4k with so much uploaded? i just load what i need at a time! i always feel that if i have too much uploaded the 4k doesn't work as smooth as with less uploaded - not with playback though but like when browsing through windows they open slower ... and i always feel a bit scared to crash it when much is uploaded - i crashed my one 3 times up til now (always before 1.51 though)! ... and mostly my fault - such as sending 50+ midinotes to a bloody one shot sample when jumpin str8 from main into sample mode

yeah i know just funning myself--- but i have never crashed well i do have a problem with my old 2k hard drive cant get it to work on the 4k..but it show on myt pc- but other than that its been flawless (except the fx of coarse) but have this 1.51 is solid , hope the next o.s. is just as good.... but go ahead and create a large set that holds everything u come a custom to using it actually cut my prodution time cause instead of scrolling thousands of samples i just load programs fitting the mood im in ,organization is the keys and with akai sys its a breeze- try it

I feel that alto, I have only had two problems with my mpc, once like that and the other time I had a corrupt midi file uding 1.51
I almost cried, lost a bit of faith but nothing has happened since.

Great idea you have you mpc set up like a sound module pretty much, and just go thru the programs

My little 100mb folder only takes a minute or so, not long at all
