so check it, i'm going to install one in my mpc, i see that mpcstuff and vst both got em...

the vst one comes with a 1gb flash card with 60 samples, or so it says...

the mpcstuff one is just teh drive+wires etc..

these are the same drives no?

i know this is a dumb question, but i just had to ask it anyway...

going to upgrade my mpc via zip to os 1.20

I ordered mine from VST. It was blackface with 2 card slots. Simple installation, and that free card is nothing more than stock Akai sounds that everyone with the MPC cd should own. But thats pretty much the extent of my knowledge on this one. I wol assume that the ones from VST and MPCStuff are the same since its an Akai upgrade.

^^ most definantly. And be careful not to pay to much for something that wont cost much at all. (Coming from some one that swears by the card reader and put it in them self.)

i'm so glad i bought mine when it was $50. this was back when lamp and others were preachin the good word on card readers.

these sellers now are sharks

That's more than 3 years ago,in the meantime these cardreaders have become popular and scarce, so prices have gone up. It's called a free market. I remember I bought 2 readers in one go just to justify the shipping cost, 'cause it was almost the price of a cardreader.
