my screen is broken!

whassup guys I'm new to this site and haven't been able to find any help about this. But what do you do and where can you go if your digital display screen goes ziltch? The machine stills works and I can make out some of the screen funcions but it really looks like a scrambled television. How much would it go for and would I be able to replace the screen myself?

any suggestions ??

Have you tried calling Akai support?

That screen will cost you about $120-$175, that's for the XL. I got one from Akai in Forth Worth, Texas.

My sreen was faded one day I turned it on. It was like that for months. I got the LCD screen to replace it, but when I upgraded the OS and it was back to normal.

Now I have a LCD screen just sitting there on my desk. This was about 4-5 years ago.
