Can someone PLEASE help me figure out how to add new sounds instead of using the sounds that the mpc 1000 comes with. it comes with programs like - dj hip hop, time, cds, and some more stuff, but on each one it only comes with a few set of sounds and like 1 type of snare and 1 type of hi-hats but ive seen people on youtube that have so many types of snares,hi-hats,bass,and more stuff and they can add each one on a different pad bank. like for example -16 types of snares on Pad A-. 16 types of hi-hats on Pad B. and so on . i just wanted to know how to do that . If anyone could help me figure that out, i would really appreciate it . THANKS.

You can always connect via USB too, if you want, and drag and drop samples to the memory card. That's what I do now until I get a set of turntables. But for your best results you'd probably want to just play out the whole song on something like fruity loops(if you don't have a midi controller), and get the notes/chords you'll need, chop, and transfer.

Btw, what all do you guys usually have the best luck grabbing samples off of? I'm picking up a turntable in a month or so and going to build up a collection. I've been listening to a lot of soul that's on my computer though, and I haven't really been hit hard by anything. :( Maybe I'll just try more jazz.
