Hi there,

I recently got an MPC2000 with a zip drive and I own an MPC60.
The MPC2000 can load my MPC60 disks successfully and in the manual it sais that it can load the MPC3000 floppies and zips too.

I guess that the MPC2000 can read all previous models
BUT
All 3k 2k and 60 models save SND and PGM files!!!

If i make a floppy or even a zip disk on the MPC2000 , will i be able to read it on an MPC3000?

If the zip disk is split into partitions will the MPC3000 read it?

Thank you.

To moderators: I will post the same in the MPC3000/MPC60 room. Im expecting replies from both 2k and 3k users so id apreciate it if you dont delete my posts. Thank you.

nice, so actually the mpc3k and mpc2k have the same format file system?

Well with MPC Editor alot of things can become compatible.

Yes i know. I exported a program from the editor as MPC3000 and it loaded just fine on the mpc2000.
The disk was formatted on the mpc2000 though.

You think the MPC3000 program i made on the mpc2000 disk will work on an mpc3000?

What if i send you via mail an zip disk like that and you tell me if it works on your mpc3000 .... ?
