ok, i know that mode and pad 11 used to give a sample list for the present program and allow you to adjust all kinds of parameters with a 'whole' option on os1. now it has been replaced with a sort of grid editor that can control velocity, tuning, etc. ie. every other step (or in increments of ur choice)
for example, i have a hi hat running constantly on each 1/8 note. i tried to make it so every second hi hat was half the velocity of the previous one. it sounded like it was going to work out, but when i returned to 'main', they were all at the same velocity. i don't know what the 'save' option does in the mode+pad 11 screen, but it didn't save the information the way i wanted it to. does anyone have any input as to how i can save my settings? i hope i'm being clear.
