Hard Drive problems..

I tried 4 different hard drives, and with none of them was I able to format. I finally bought the AKAI version 80 gig for the 1000, and after about 6 hours of messing with it, I finally got it to format (sort of). Problem is, every time I go to save something or load something, it says there is a different size. One time it's 7272 MB, another time its 6999 MB, etc. And when I save a sample to the hard drive, after I turn it off, and try to load it, the hard drive is empty! This is a refurbished MPC off of Ebay from Dealmonger. Please guys, do yourselves a favor and buy a NEW MPC so you don't have to beat your head over the walls for weeks after weeks. I already spent more money on this piece of crap than it could of been if I bought it new!!!!!

I always go and check out the equipment before I buy stuff from some1 else. I have a 2nd hands MPC1K, never had problems with it, because I worked with it and tested all the important functions and buttons before I bought it. I gotta admit, I was lucky though, the guy I bought it from didn't had a fokking clue how valuable a precious MPC is, couldn't work with it, so everything was still clean

mines an orginal, no problems what so ever. give us step by step of what you have been doing and OS details. also HDD models and size.
