Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

I just recorded a kick and a snare and every 8. time i hit a pad (any pad)it give different sound... like 7 normal and 1 up pitched, 7 normal, 1 up pitched ++++

can someone please help me?

thanks for answer.. but im not found something on that to site to help me with that problem..
have restart... record some new shit, but still got same problem..

thats strange, are you sure the there isnt a velocity modulation on the pad or does it happen on all of them?. make sure you are not loading a pgm on bootup.

Was this ever resolved...If anyone knows how this can be avoided, please share....I'm having a similar issue with my 2500...my pad is triggering surrounding pads after so many hits...driving me crazy...regardless of which pad i hit...

it looks to me like your just letting the release of the sample play out on the 8th hit at louder velocity, i cant hear any pitch differences.. the reason the other 7 sound different is cause u keep re-triggering them at a different spot.
