I've been trying and trying to wrap my head around this but a cant figure it out!
What i want, is the ability to pull/record my different drum tracks into pro tools, so i can edit them track by track, like you would with live recordings. I am pretty new to the mpc and its a lot of informations for someone who doesn't know the drill.
if someone out there could give me a step by step guide on how to do this you will be my hero.

All help is appreciated,

The Nick of Nintendoe

Read the manuals first. They always contain a basic setup.

To help guide you in the right direct, look on the back of your equipment.

Audio Out from MPC -->
To Audio In of the Mbox.

Everything after that is settings in Pro Tools.

Nick if im reading you right it sounds like you want to multi track (hit play on mpc and all tracks made in MPC concurrently record into PT on separate tracks). If so, this is not possible with the mbox since it is only a 2 channel interface, you can only record one track at a time into PT due its determinate inputs, only 2 inputs R and L. Or are you unable to even record one track at a time? What exactly is the problem bra?

exactly...but I don't think he can record anything yet. You can only record 2 mono tracks or 1 stereo
track at a time. Waiting on nick to reply...

hey, guys.
im using a mbox2 pro. not that it makes a world of difference, but at least i have a few more options. thanks wook and kd, and your right. i havent been able to record anything yet. i have hooked my mpc up to my pro tools via midi, and i can trigger play from there, but i aint getting any signal in, even though i can monitor the sequence.
a bit clearer? hell, i hardly know what i talkin about:)
