i bought an old case off ebay four month ago and started sanding off the paint. man, that is a lot of work! i'm wanna paint it black, kinda what nym did to his baby. i like it all rusty, old and postapocalyptic. give me 2 more years and i'll be done... :)

That looks really good. I'm impressed. Does it feel like a cover, or does it feel like it's a part of the unit? I guess what I'm asking is does it feel cheap? When I get my taxes, I'm gettin the new pads, a new undo button, and maybe one of those. I always thought the best looking mp's were the older off white ones and I always wanted the 1k to come in that style...
Primebeats was right. Wooden pannels: you boys may want to back up...

Nym! If you read this please post some pictures of your Mp, or show me a link if you already have. I can kind of see yours in your videos, which are great by the way, but I'd love to get a better look. What is the Jog wheel... How did you get it like that... Where's my money and why is my lip all busted up?
Oh, and I'm proud to be quoted on your tag. Did you see that shit?

thanks alot homies, means alot to me,

to answer some of the questions...

no it does not feel like a cover at all, it is made of very durable vinyl and i definately don't notice the differnce in terms of feel, all the info printed on it, matches the akai case EXACTLY, even with original Q-link logo.

when i startyed to build my studio, i wanted two things....

1. to have really good epuipment that i am comfortable working with,

2. for it to be a visual expieriance when somebody see's the muthfuka lol

i got big plans for my studio as far as asthetics go..

peace bruvs.
