picking a Mixer

I'm looking to buy a mixer for recording samples into my MP, any reccomendations for sub-$300 ish. I'm really looking to be able to cut out drums and add other kinds of effects, thanks

Sorry no suggestions here. I have a regular, CHEAP, beringher 8 channel mixer. I only
use it has an interface for connecting all my gear and have a single output. All my effects
and added either in the MPC or keyboard, but mostly in Pro Tools.

I use a basic mixer too, yamaha Mg124c, but Mg series of yamaha have a good price-quality relation and you have the version with fx built in!

just look at it like this

if behringer were built to be a tank, the protestor in Tiananmen Square wouldve straight crushed the tank

but if it were a Mackie.......watch out protestor!!!

get a behringer xenyx1204fx you wont regret it.............or even a mackie dfx12....

same here. behringer mx1604a, have it for 6 years, never had any problems with it.

yes get a cheap used makie vlz 12 channels . the pre are great and pack a punch

yeah, thats what I would recommend in the $300 range, you can find um even cheaper. I sold mine for $250. I owned the dfx12 before that but I liked the vlz alot more. The FX on the DFX12 is more for PA use I would say, not really usable.

I have the Mackie 1202vlz3. I bought it in July last year.
Its served me well, Though im not too keen on the rotary faders and a couple of them have become, I dont know to describe it, But like stiff to turn and sort of grind.
Im hopng to get it looked at over the week.
