using the 4000 with recycle.

When I export chops from recycle as akai akp. programs they show up as keygroup programs. I would like for them to be drum programs instead with each slice in chronological order. like slice 1 on the a1 pad and slice 2 on the a2 pad and so on. Is there a way to do this besides manually assigning each wav file within the program menu. any help would greatly be appreciated

No you can't do that with Recyle
You can use another application to create regions and create the program from those regions in your MPC.

Yeah just convert your keygroup programs to drum programs in the Program menu. Read up in your manual on how to do it. It is easy to do. After that make sure to go to pad editor and set it to default from chromatic.


Now that was easy yeah. Plus word of thought Recycle was designed to work with FULL SAMPLERS like the Yamaha, Akai S-series, and whatnot so that is why recycle makes keygroups programs. AKP is the program instruments from the S5000 series not MPCs. Traditionally with older mpcs you just saved wav files from recycle for the 2xlers and 1ks.

No he doesn't want that because he wants his samples to line up with the pads. If he switches from chroma to default and converts his keygroup into a drumprogram, the samples will be all messed up.

Have you tried it???? Plus you switch to default after you convert.....


Anyway it is easy to just hit pad button and line up the samples to pad as the sequences plays even.

where about in the pad editor do i set it to default from chromatic???

Sorry I meant pad assign button on your faceplate between qlink sequence button and the full level button.
